  • Don’t Mind the Crumbs: Why You Have to Start Small Before Getting the Whole Meal

    November 3, 2026

We all want the entire plate handed to us right out of the gate, but sometimes you have to be willing to start with the crumbs while the full meal is being prepared. 🍽️ If you’re truly hungry for success or growth, taking advantage of what’s served right now—even if it’s small—is what prepares you… →

Hungry for What? Why the Object of Your Drive Matters Just as Much as the Hustle Don’t Mind the Crumbs: Why You Have to Start Small Before Getting the Whole Meal What’s Your Metaphorical Protein? Identifying the Non-Negotiables That Fuel Your Life "For what am I hungry?" 🍽️ That question isn't static—our appetites in life change just like our food cravings. One day you might want pizza, the next day lobster, and another day just a simple bowl of cereal. Giving yourself permission to let your desires evolve is key to staying true to yourself. I always want to stay locked in and on the hunt, pulling so hard toward my goals that people are shocked by the drive 💪. But staying hungry also means staying humble. Ever open the fridge knowing you’re hungry, but nothing inside looks appealing? 🍕 Sometimes our life goals feel the exact same way. We all want to stay hungry and driven, but do you actually know why you want what you're chasing? 🍰 Sometimes we go after goals just because someone else made it look good, or because we want our cake and to eat it too. Even Zack tries to claim everyone else's food in the house if he thinks he can get away with it! 🐶 I’m definitely guilty of loading my metaphorical plate with way too many things at once. 🍽️ We think piling our schedules high means we're ambitious, but taking on too much usually leads to burnout and wasted effort—just like going overboard at a buffet! Staying hungry means being strategic about what you actually have room to digest and execute well. Growing up, saying you were hungry didn’t mean you got to choose what was on your plate! 🍽️ If we didn't finish dinner, that exact same plate was waiting for us later—no snacks, no desserts, no negotiations. It taught us to value what was served rather than getting picky.
