In many of our communities—especially within Black and Latino families—certain eating habits and lifestyle patterns get passed down. For far too many of us, turning 50 or 60 feels like the moment the cards are dealt, and we are suddenly handed prescriptions for high blood pressure, diabetes, and other preventable health issues.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
I am making a conscious choice to get ahead of that timeline now while I have the time. It’s not about fearing aging; it’s about taking control of our wellness today so we can live vibrant, medicine-free lives tomorrow.
